An Instagram model has been accused of killing her father by stabbing him while he slept over an argument over a laptop.
Nikki Secondino, 22, is accused of murdering her father with a hammer and knife and seriously injuring her sister with a knife when she tried to intervene, according to a statement from the District Attorney’s Office in Brooklyn, United States.
The investigation found that “the defendant and her father had a verbal altercation over a laptop prior to the incident. At approximately 5:20 a.m. on December 29, 2022, the defendant allegedly assaulted Carlo Secondino, 61, while he was sleeping on the couch,” the statement said.
According to the evidence gathered, Nikki Secondino allegedly hit him several times with a hammer and then stabbed him with a kitchen knife.
The Instagram model’s sister, 19, tried to intervene after hearing the commotion in the living room.
She was then allegedly stabbed in the body, hands and face. Due to her injuries she had to have an operation.
“The defendant then rushed out of the house and told officers that two people entered her home, killed her sister and father, and sexually assaulted them,” the statement said.
Investigators later determined that his version of events was wrong.
The young woman and her father had experienced cases of domestic violence in the past.
The father had also previously expressed fear of the accused, the statement said.
