The manager seemed very proud of his little 15-year-old protégé, who did him a great honor. “Thank you for trusting me and giving me a second chance,” Livia said instinctively. Thank you for all your advice, you knew how to be a good coach.

The young Saguenéenne had not yet planned to sign up for “La Voix” this season. “I was only 14 at the time of the pre-auditions and thought I’d try my luck next year,” she told agency QMI. But I know Caroline Riverin, who works with La Voix, who advised me to give it a try. So I went there to check and told myself I had nothing to lose, that it didn’t matter if I wasn’t taken.

Against all odds, she was selected to take part in the blind auditions, but her re-reading of Marie Carmen’s song “Entre l’ombre et la lumière” failed to convince the coaches of “La Voix”.

A few days after the recording, the 15-year-old received a call from Roxane Bruneau, who told her that she had been included in their team of six candidates for the “La deux Voix” competition.

“From the first rehearsals, Roxane immediately knew what I needed to work on. She has a very friendly manner, which puts us at ease immediately. She was able to calm me down and make the atmosphere comfortable. I felt like I was working with a friend.”

She then passed her duel with Audrey-Ann with flying colors before finding herself in the final with Sarah Vanderzon and Sébastien Meloche.

“With Roxane, I feel like I’ve learned to let myself go more and be more spontaneous when it comes to performing time. When I’m on stage, I often think about a lot of small details, but I realized that you have to do that before the performance.

After the results were announced, Livia St-Pierre had the opportunity to share the big stage of “La Voix” with her coach. “It could have been a very stressful context to sing with her on Sunday night, but in the end you just have to focus on what I have to do. It’s difficult to stay focused sometimes, but it allows you to deliver your song well.

For the future, Livia St-Pierre first plans to continue her studies, she is currently in secondary school 3, and continue to work in the Quebec Issime troupe. “After high school I want to go to a music program in Cégep someday and with the scholarship I want to set up a small home studio with a good microphone so I can record stuff and share it on social media.”
