Intimidation: Teens attack 15-year-old dressed as Spiderman – Le Journal de Québec

A 15-year-old dressed as Spiderman was attacked by a group of teenagers who allegedly lured him to a park in New York to break his nose, according to a video shared on social media.

“He was tricked and lured to Derby by the same group who know him well enough to use their good hearts against him. This time there was a group waiting for him, all with phones ready to record,” Shellie Pedone, the teen’s mother, said in a Facebook post, calling the attack “an ambush.”

In a video shared on social media last week, 15-year-old Aydin Pedone can be seen standing near a park as several teenagers approach him and film him in his Spiderman outfit, the New York Post reported ” on Monday.

Then, without warning, a young girl tries to punch him in the face for the first time before hitting him in the nose with a second punch and walking away laughing.

The footage shows the stunned young man stepping back and then removing his mask as the small crowd screamed and laughed, revealing his bloodied face.

“My son was attacked solely for entertaining bored teenagers, he was targeted for being different from them, and he was violently attacked for having the courage to stand out from the crowd and be himself be,” his mother continued in her message denouncing the intimidation that her son would be the victim of for years.

For this reason, the youngsters also wear the outfit of the hero, who was also a victim of bullying in high school, in order to fight the Scourge in his own way.

The message didn’t fall on deaf ears: Cosplayers across the country reportedly gathered at the park to record messages of support for the youngster, and a superhero barbecue was said to have been held there in his honor.

At the same time, a crowdfunding page was set up, raising more than $10,000 to enable the teenager to train in martial arts, American media reported.

The young girl in the video would have been arrested and charged with second-degree assault, the Hudson Falls Police Department said, according to the New York Post.
