Future Electronics founder Robert G. Miller finally resigned from his positions on Friday on the pretext of “very serious health problems,” a day after a journalist’s investigation revealed he had slept with a minor.

“Mr. Miller categorically and vehemently denies the malicious allegations made against him and confirms that they are false and totally unfounded and are the result of a bitter divorce. They are now being repeated for financial reasons,” Future Electronics said in a statement.
The resignation comes the day after an investigation by Radio-Canada was released that found the billionaire would have paid to sleep with young girls – often underage – for more than 10 years.
The events allegedly took place between 1994 and 2006 at major Montreal hotels and a residence in Westmount. The man had been the subject of a Service de Police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) investigation into the matter in 2008 and 2009, but had not been prosecuted.
Although he has been non-operational for several years, the 79-year-old announced on Friday that he would step down permanently as chairman and chief executive officer to “focus on his very serious health issues” and “devote their attention to.” to protect its reputation,” the company continued in writing.
