Investissement Québec reports a yield of 7.5%

Investissement Québec (IQ) returned 7.5% in its most recent fiscal year, which ended March 31, according to the crown society’s annual report presented in the National Assembly on Thursday.

This return is comparable to the 25.1% return in 2020-2021 and the -5.1% return in 2019-2020.

IQ generated net income of $345 million in 2021-2021 compared to $992 million in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, the institution suffered a net loss of $180 million.

In its most recent fiscal year, IQ executed 4,891 financial transactions totaling $4.9 billion. Of this, $2 billion came from the organization’s own funds and $2.9 billion from the Department of Economy and Innovation’s Economic Development Fund (FDE).

In 2020, 2021, IQ implemented 4403 financial interventions with a total value of US$4.5 billion (US$2 billion from own resources and US$2.5 billion from EDF).

IQ CEO Guy Leblanc’s total compensation for 2021-2022 reached $888,000 compared to $839,000 last year.
