Prime Video plans to release the second season of the superhero saga Invincible on November 3rd and is presenting a teaser trailer today at San Diego Comic-Con.
In addition to Season 2, Prime announced Invincible Atom Eve, a standalone episode centered around the title character, which will premiere July 21 on Prime Video
From The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman and based on the Skybound/Image comic of the same name by Kirkman, Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley, Invincible is an hour-long adult animated superhero series centered on seventeen-year-old Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun), who is just like any other man his age – except his father is the most powerful superhero on the planet, Omni-Man (JK Simmons).
But as Mark develops his own powers, he discovers his father’s legacy may not be as heroic as it seems.
Also joining Invincible are Sandra Oh (Killing Eve), Seth Rogen (This is the End), Gillian Jacobs (Community), Andrew Rannells (Black Monday, Girls), Zazie Beetz (Deadpool 2), Mark Hamill (Star Wars: The Last Jedi), Walton Goggins (Justified), Jason Mantzoukas (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Zachary Quinto (Star Trek), Mahershala Ali (Moonlight), Melise (The Flash), and Kevin Michael Richardson (The Simpsons), Gray Griffin (Avengers Assemble) and Khary Payton (The Walking Dead).
Invincible is produced by Skybound and Executive Producers are Kirkman, Simon Racioppa, David Alpert (The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead), Catherine Winder (Angry Birds, Star Wars: The Clone Wars). Executive director Jeff Allen (“Avengers Assemble,” “Ultimate Spider-Man”) and Linda Lamontagne are serving as casting directors. Invincible, Kirkman’s second longest-running comic book series, ended in February 2018 after 15 years.
