2024 promises to be a big year for iPads. Apple plans to offer a new version for its entire tablet range. At least that’s what the generally well-informed analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reports. In addition to an iPad Pro M3 with an OLED screen, an iPad mini 6 and an iPad 11, there would also be two new iPad Airs, including the long-awaited 12.9-inch model.
The iPads will stock up on new models in 2024
In a recent report on Medium, Ming-Chi Kuo gave iPads a high priority.
In detail, the analyst states that two iPad Airs would arrive in the first quarter of next year. The first would retain the same format with a 10.9-inch screen, while the second would have a diagonal of 12.9 inches – still in LCD format. Ming-Chi Kuo still emphasizes that the panel on this model would be of better quality, with similar specifications to the iPad Pro’s Mini-Led.
At the end of the first quarter of 2024 or the second quarter, Apple would formalize the iPad Pro Oled with M3 chip. These new versions “will adopt the tandem design and LTPO back panels (the same as the iPhone 15 Pro) and outperform the existing iPad Pro Mini-Led in terms of display performance and power consumption,” explains the analyst.
Finally, Ming-Chi Kuo mentions the launch of the iPad mini 7 and iPad 11 in the second half of the year. No information is provided about the developments of these new models.
