Tehran, January 5 (Pressa Latina) Iran's Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi announced today that several agents linked to the terrorist attacks in the city of Kerman have been arrested, which left more than 300 victims dead and injured.
Iranian authorities said 11 people linked to last Wednesday's attack in the city of Kerman were arrested because they were part of a team supporting terrorists in six provinces of the Persian country.
The official also revealed that one of the two suicide bombers was from Tajikistan, while the identity of the second was still being determined.
The Iranian statement shows that the first search operation was carried out on the same day as the attacks and the people who transported the attackers into the country were arrested, while the premises used for the preparations of the two deceased terrorists were on the outskirts of the city from Kerman, were arrested. He was identified the day before.
The latest death toll from the attacks released by Iranian Deputy Interior Minister Majid Mirahmadi is 89 dead, including 53 women and nine children.
The Islamic State (Daesh) claimed responsibility for the attack, which occurred near the grave of Iranian Revolutionary Guard commander Qasem Soleimani, who was assassinated by the United States in Iraq four years ago.
In recent years, the Islamic Republic of Iran has been the target of constant attacks, character attacks and destabilization attempts, for which the Persian authorities directly blame the United States, Israel and some European Union nations.
In recent months, Iranian intelligence services have dismantled several terrorist networks with proven links to the Mossad (Israeli secret service), the CIA and other European spy agencies.
In late September last year, at least 28 Daesh-linked terrorists were arrested by Iranian intelligence services in simultaneous operations coordinated with the armed forces of Tehran, Alborz and West Azerbaijan provinces.
