Before leaving for Saudi Arabia, while still in the capital Tehran, Raisi appealed to Islamic leaders to make a clear decision on the Palestine issue. The meeting was the opportunity everyone had been waiting for, said the Iranian head of state.

“It is expected that the leaders of Islamic countries will make a clear decision on the question of Palestine, the most important problem in the world, and that this decision will be fully implemented,” he said, calling for a call to action on behalf of the residents of Palestine Gaza Strip.

Raisi pointed out that Palestine was the reason for establishing the Saudi summit, adding that the main objectives of the meeting were to immediately stop the bombardment of Gaza, open a path to help the people of Gaza and lift the blockade about the enclave and the realization of Gaza’s rights.

“Iran had requested to hold this extraordinary meeting a month ago, but for certain reasons it was no longer held,” he said in an enigmatic tone.

The Iranian president also said that the US was in control of the “war machine” in Gaza. “The US prevented a ceasefire in Gaza and collaborated to escalate the scale of the war. “The true face of the USA should be shown to the world,” he warned.

So far, 11,078 people have been killed in the attacks in Gaza, in addition to the 1,400 killed by Hamas terrorists on Israeli territory.
