Israel’s prime minister said the country was a “partner” with Hamas in the attack that sparked the war on October 7
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated this Saturday (October 28, 2023) that Iran wanted to “bring back the Middle Ages”. He also explained that the country was involved in the Hamas attack on October 7: “In this specific operation they were partners.” The offensive sparked war in the region.
According to Netanyahu, Iran is responsible for 9% of Hamas’ budget. The prime minister declared that the country is the “base of everything” and is waging “war” against “the whole world” and not just Israel.
During a speech to journalists, the Israeli leader stated that the soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces are “determined to put an end to this evil in the world for the benefit of all humanity.” Netanyahu also said that his Western and Arab allies “are sure that Israel will not win.” [a guerra]evil will spread.”
Also this Saturday (October 28), the IDF called on residents in the north of the Gaza Strip and in Gaza City to “immediately” leave their homes and move to the south of the region. The Prime Minister reiterated the demand. According to Netanyahu, the country’s armed forces are “ethical and try not to hurt anyone who is not involved.” [no conflito]“.
The IDF statement said there would be a fullscale military invasion of the northern Gaza region.
With 610,000 active soldiers, Iran has the largest military force in the Middle East. At 196,000 soldiers, the number is more than three times higher than the current Israeli contingent. If Iran actually enters the war between Israel and Hamas and places all 350,000 military personnel in reserve, Iran could reach 960,000 troops.
