Iranian President arrives in Venezuela to start his Latin America tour

The Persian President will meet his Venezuelan counterpart, Nicolás Maduro, with whom he plans to sign several bilateral agreements.

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi arrived in Venezuela on Monday to complete his first tour of Latin America, which also includes visits to Cuba and Nicaragua.

Raisi, who is making his first tour of Latin America since taking office in 2021, arrived at “Simón Bolívar” International Airport in Maiquetía, La Guaira state.

Foreign Minister Yván Gil was tasked with receiving the Iranian President and First Lady Jamileh-Sadat Alamolhoda and their entourage. The Iranian Ambassador to Venezuela, Hojat Soltani, was also present.

The Persian President will meet his Venezuelan counterpart, Nicolás Maduro, with whom he plans to sign several bilateral agreements.

The Iranian President will be accompanied by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Oil, Defense and Health, among others.

During his visit to Caracas, Havana and Managua, the Iranian President will sign several cooperation agreements in different areas.

The Iranian President will also hold meetings with local and Iranian businessmen and economic activists during his tour of Latin America.
