Iran’s Head of State reiterates threats against Israel Jewish General

Iran’s religious leader and head of state reiterated old threats against Israel. The Palestinian movement is today “more energetic, more excited and better prepared than ever,” said Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, according to a statement published on Saturday.

“This cancer will finally be eradicated, God willing, by the Palestinian people and resistance forces across the region,” Khamenei continued. Iran’s head of state had already given the speech on Tuesday.

Since the state’s founding in 1979, Israel has been considered the archenemy of the Islamic Republic. The political and spiritual leadership in Tehran denies the Jewish state its right to exist.

Since the 1990s, Iran has expanded its political and military ties in the region to create an “axis of resistance” against Israel with the support of Shiite militias. The Tehran regime also spreads terror by financing similar groups in Gaza and Lebanon.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu describes Iran as the “most important enemy” and has repeatedly not ruled out the possibility of military action if Tehran continues its nuclear program. dpa
