The popular Cuban actress Irela Bravo broke the silence about her departure from the island in an interview for the program La Casa de Maka.

According to him, his 94-year-old mother gave him the strength to decide after traveling to the United States for a decade.

“I have been coming here to the United States since 2013, they have always welcomed me with a lot of affection and love and I have always returned. But this time my mother told me: “Daughter, you have to close this cycle.” You need a change, you don't have much time for hope. “You have to make a difference,” he admitted.

“That’s why I’m here today and have taken this step. And I will stay here for a long time,” he assured.

Bravo made it clear that life in Cuba is very difficult. “The situation in which Cuba finds itself is not a secret to anyone, it is critical and everyone knows it, no one is safe from it,” he said.

The actress also explained how difficult it was for her to be separated from her mother. “I know she misses me with life, we talk on the phone all the time.”

“Mommy, I’m going to please you and find a boyfriend like you told me.”

Bravo, known for her role as Chachita in the show “Vivir del Cuento,” is already in rehearsals for her new project in Miami.

The artist will be part of the comedy “Havana in Hialeah,” a show broadcast on UniVistaTV that brings together prominent Cuban comedians such as Omar Franco, Leonardo Santiesteban and Carlos “Pillín” Marrero.

The announcement of Bravo's participation in the comedy was made through a publication on UniVistaTV's official Instagram account, where a video of the rehearsals was shared with the comment: “Surprise! Rehearsal of the comedy “Havana in Hialeah”. New episodes will follow soon on UniVistaTV.” .'
