Colin Kaepernick reportedly attracting the attention of NFL teams. According to TMZ, a recent practice session he had with renowned coach David Robinson sparked interest in the quarterback’s return to the league.
Robinson says “several NFL teams contacted him” about Kaepernick. Specifically, he adds that “at least” five different clubs have contacted him following a recent training session they participated in in early March.
“Several teams contacted me and asked what his hand looked like,” said Robinson, who has worked with a number of well-known players in the NFL. “He definitely has the opportunity to play in someone’s squad… He looked really good.”
The 34-year-old last played in 2016 for the 49ers, who drafted him in 2011. He started 58 of 69 games with the team, winning the NFC Championship in 2012. would make a deal with an NFL team despite reports to the contrary in years past. However, according to the report, Kaepernick “traveled the country this month” showing his willingness to return to the league.
For that matter, Robinson is optimistic that a comeback could happen. “I definitely think that because of this departure, he can get a chance,” he said, which could further increase the QB market, which has already seen significant movement this off-season.
