A new documentary, The Price of Glee, explores the aftermath of Ryan Murphy’s hit sitcom, which featured high school kids in their school’s unpopular show choir.
While the show catapulted its relatively unknown cast to stardom, it was also plagued by controversy and the shocking and unfortunate deaths of several of its main characters, leading some to believe the show was cursed.
Cory Monteith, Finn Hudson, Glees Jock, was found dead of an alcohol and heroin overdose in a Vancouver hotel room in July 2013 at the age of 31.
Glee’s “bad boy” Mark Salling has been charged with possession of child pornography and pleaded guilty to downloading 25,000 sexual images of children. Salling hanged himself in a Los Angeles woods in January 2018, just weeks before his sentencing.
In June 2020, actress Naya Rivera was found dead at Lake Piru, California. The actress, who played Santana Lopez, drowned on a rented pontoon boat with her then four-year-old son.
