Love at Occupation Double has always had bad press.
Few people believe it, or at least few people have believed it. Contestants entered to gain some notoriety, get subscribers, or have an “experience,” and viewers watched reality TV for the famous “Bisbille.”
However, when things got out of hand last year, the production had to recalibrate their marketing if they wanted another season.
So we changed course and returned to the basic concept: love. If Love is in the Meadow ranks as the most prolific reality show on the small screen, it’s not the letters of peerage that OD is awarded so easily. However, two babies have emerged in recent years, that of Alexandra and Yanick, and Andréanne and Carl, following a marriage made on reality TV.
To showcase Occupation Double’s new “ideology,” the production produced a web series that featured eight couples that had emerged during recent reality TV installments, from Claudie and Mathieu to Aïssa and Walide to Stacey and Jamie (the not quite have the same appearance as). at the time of OD Chez Nous). In six 15-minute episodes, they talk marriage, moving, babies and reflect on their meeting in the spotlight.
For those who haven’t followed these sixteen ex-contestants’ social media since their days on screen, it’s nice to see where they stand in their love lives. These beautiful episodes convince us that it is indeed possible to find love in a series like OD. It’s a good start to the next season, also hosted by a former contestant and his famous concubine. We’re pretty confident that Fred and Alicia, who take their new role very seriously, will be able to ditch the intimidation and bring the gentle “flit” back to the fore.
