Rumors are circulating these days about Jean-Philippe Wauthier’s private life.
Last summer, on the set of his talk show Bonsoir, the Canadian radio host welcomed bonsoir! his current girlfriend Emmanuelle Rochon, who was also his stylist. Then, earlier this year, excerpts from the conversation between Jean-Sébastien Girard and himself at The day is (still) young, at ICI Première, suggested that this romance was already a thing of the past.
Since then, other sounds began to rise. And this new sustained clamor sends Jean-Philippe Wauthier into the arms of Coalition Avenir Québec (CAQ) politician Geneviève Guilbault, MP for Louis-Hébert, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Transport and Sustainable Mobility.
She would no longer see her colleague Mathieu Lacombe, MNA for Papineau and Minister for Culture and Communications, Minister for Youth and Minister for the Abitibi-Témiscamingue region and the Outaouais region, with whom she had flaunted some years.
On Wednesday, on the red carpet of the premiere of A boy like no other, his amazing friend Jean-Sébastien Girard’s first solo show, at the Olympia (read our review here), Showbizz.net put the question directly to Jean-Philippe Wauthier, if he is currently in a relationship with a politician.
Not only did he not answer… he ran away as soon as we finished our sentence! At his side, his charming mother accompanying him, couldn’t help but smile broadly as he watched his son flee.
Should we conclude that everyone who doesn’t say a word agrees? And what about who… striding duck? Would we have gotten a silent answer?

Fact: Apparently Showbizz.net – probably like all other artistic news sites – doesn’t publish all the rumors circulating about the personal lives of our Quebec artists. It would be way too long to write! But in the Wauthier-Guilbault case, the whispers grew so “loud” that a word had slipped through.
One thing is certain: Jean-Philippe Wauthier has a busy year ahead, roaming the National Assembly or not.
