Core Ultra 9 185H – Geekbench 5
According to a current roadmap, the next core generation, also called Meteor Lake, will only see the light of day in the mobile segment. Intel has confirmed that this family will embark on a rebranding through a new naming structure.
The start is imminent as the date of December 14th has been brought forward. While some references are waiting to be formalized, they are already finding their way into the benchmark database. For example, the Core Ultra 9 185H was tested using the Geekbench 5.0 application. We have a first idea of its performance and configuration.
Core Ultra 9 185H, what do we know?
The benchmark software announces a chip that is equipped with 16 physical cores and can manage 22 threads. It benefits from a hybrid architecture with 6 P-Cores on one side and 8 E-Cores on the other. The base frequency is 2.5 GHz, in boost mode it seems to reach 5.1 GHz. This Core Ultra 9 185H was tested alongside 64GB of DDR5 memory.

It achieves a single-core score of 1849 points compared to 9832 points in multi-threaded tests. With these two numbers it cannot beat the current Core i9-13980HX.
At the moment there is no need to worry, considering that there are still several weeks until the launch. It is likely that this is an early technical example, with many optimizations hoped for in the final version.
