On December 31, 2022, the United Nations General Assembly called on the International Court of Justice to issue a non-binding “advice” on the “legal consequences arising from Israel's policies and practices in the occupied Palestinian territories, including East Jerusalem.” This week in The Hague, representatives from 52 countries appeared before the judges to give their assessment of the situation.
