ISIS is praising the war in Ukraine as a “divine punishment” for the West, which it hopes will destroy the “enemies of Islam”.
The terrorist group called Russia’s brutal invasion of its neighbors “crusaders against crusaders” in a full-page article in their Al-Naba newsletter.
They also stated that Muslims should not take sides in the war and predicted that regardless of the outcome, there would be “grave consequences”.

The editorial stated: “What is happening today, a direct bloody war between the Orthodox crusaders – Russia and Ukraine – is just one example of God’s punishment for them, described in the Koran.
“Whether long or short, this Russian-Ukrainian war is only the beginning of the next wars between the countries of the crusaders, and the pictures of destruction and death that we see are only a small scene of the situation in which great wars begin.”
ISIS added that the invasion was “not surprising”, saying it was “a state of heightened competition between America and Russia for control of the countries of Eastern Europe, especially after the ‘support and deterrence’ policy pursued by America.”

Putin made an alliance with Bashar al-Assad against ISIS during the Syrian civil war, and Vladimir Zelensky is Jewish, and Ukraine is a member of the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS.
ISIS has made its position clear, hoping for total annihilation on both sides, leading to global chaos and the downfall of the West.
The terrorists said the invasion was “a funny punishment … for them for not believing in Almighty God.”
Islamic extremists are debating which side to take in the war after Putin fought alongside Bashar al-Assad in the Syrian civil war.
The article added, “Crusader versus crusader is still in its infancy, so oh God, perpetuate their wars and break their hearts.”
ISIS also does not support the Chechen Muslim forces that Putin called to war.
They branded the militants led by Ramzan Kadyrov as “renegade militias” and compared them to former Afghan President Hamid Karzai, who fought alongside George W. Bush and the US against the Taliban.
Last week, the Kremlin said the US was training ISIS jihadists to fight alongside Ukraine as part of Putin’s disinformation campaign.
The Russian intelligence service said that the United States is training terrorists in “subversive and terrorist methods of warfare with a focus on the Donbass.”
