Islanders: Free food for Roy after being hired

Because good news never comes alone, Patrick Roy's time on the New York Islanders bench will allow him to never be hungry again.

Following the announcement of his hiring as the club's head coach, Long Island's Italian specialty restaurant Borelli's, founded in 1955 by three brothers from Naples, Italy, will offer him free food for life.

Roy's journey with the Islanders begins Sunday when the Dallas Stars visit UBS Arena. As a reminder, the Islanders face the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday at the Bell Centre.
