Blinken: Creating a Palestinian state is the best way to stabilize the region and isolate Iran
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said creating a Palestinian state was the best way to stabilize the region and isolate Iran and its proxies. Speaking to reporters after a meeting with Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi at the end of his Middle East trip, Blinken said the region faces two paths, the first of which is “integrating Israel with security guarantees and commitments from regional countries.” “The other path is to continue to see terrorism, nihilism and destruction from Hamas, the Houthis and Hezbollah, all of which are supported by Iran,” added he added. “If we choose the first path, it is the best way to isolate and marginalize Iran and its proxies who are causing so much trouble for us and almost every other country in the region.”
