The head of the Lebanese Hezbollah movement said this Sunday that Israel has “failed” to achieve its objectives in Gaza, which will force it to negotiate, a hundred days after the start of the war against the Palestinian group Hamas.
“What has the enemy achieved for a hundred days other than killing?” Hassan Nasrallah asked in a televised speech.
“He has not achieved any real victory or even the semblance of a victory. He has failed to achieve his stated, semi-stated and implicit goals,” he added.
In his speech, Nasrallah paid tribute to a senior military commander of the powerful movement, Wissam Tawil, who was killed on Monday in a bombing attributed to Israel in southern Lebanon.
The Hezbollah chief also described the US and UK bombings against Iran-backed Houthi rebel positions in Yemen as “madness”.

“If we continue on this path, whether in Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, Yemen or Iraq, the enemy government will have no choice but to accept the conditions of the resistance in Gaza and therefore expel it.” We must reach an end to the aggression against Gaza and negotiate,” emphasized Nasrallah.
The war between Israel and the Palestinian group Hamas broke out on October 7 after an attack by the Islamist movement on Israeli soil that killed nearly 1,140 people, mostly civilians, according to an AFP report based on figures from the Israeli authorities.
In response, Israel vowed to “destroy” Hamas and launched an air and ground operation against the Gaza Strip.

Israeli bombings have killed at least 23,968 people, mostly women and minors, in Gaza, a Palestinian territory ruled by Hamas since 2007, according to the Health Ministry.
The conflict has increased tensions in the region. Since October 8, there have been almost daily skirmishes between Hezbollah, which allegedly supports Hamas, and the Israeli army.
The Houthis in Yemen, in turn, increased their attacks on ships in the Red Sea that they believe are linked to Israel, in solidarity with the residents of the Gaza Strip.
