Karim Zéribi has been causing a stir in France since his appearance on Cyril Hanouna’s show “Touche pas à mon poste” on the C8 channel, where he took a clear position on the Hamas attacks against Israel and the war on Gaza.
The former MEP’s invitation to the TPMP meeting follows remarks he made during his recent visit to Algeria.
Karim Zéribi commented on the situation in Palestine and did not fit with the prevailing unanimity in France, which tends to condemn only the murder of Israelis while turning a blind eye to the crimes committed against Palestinians.
Most notably, he described Gaza as an “open-air prison” and explained the real causes of the current war, including continued Israeli colonization.
Therefore, it was expected that Cyril Hanouna’s entire group would blame him. But the man defended himself wonderfully and put everyone in their place. We wonder if those who invited him don’t regret their idea somewhere.
Nowadays we should definitely not mention the Palestinian victims on French television. Only Israeli deaths count. However, in Algeria, Karim Zéribi has denounced violence against civilians in various media.
“First of all, I would like to express my sadness at the loss of Palestinian and Israeli civilians. » With this very clear sentence he began the interview he gave during the same trip to the TSA.
Among Hanouna’s guests, it is the writer Frank Tapiro who opens the hostilities. “I’m shocked because I love Karim. I’ve known him for 20 years and we’ve done dozens of sets together. I didn’t recognize you, I said to myself: But where is Karim with his compassion for all concerns, his sensitivity? »
“This Karim that you have known for 20 years, he is there, he has not changed and will not change because he has strong convictions,” he replies calmly in his Marseille accent.
He quickly countered by reading a passage from his TSA interview that his opponents knowingly refused to mention. In doing so, he exposes the bad faith of his fellow human beings.
But that doesn’t seem to be enough. When Tapiro tells him that “you have to say that Hamas is a terrorist movement,” Zéribi replies firmly: “You are neither a judge nor a prosecutor.” »
War against Gaza: Karim Zéribi, alone against everyone on the TPMP set
Karim said he was “triple outraged” by what was happening in Israel and Palestine. Outraged by the failure to clearly condemn what happened to Israeli civilians, by Israel’s disproportionate response that left thousands dead in Gaza, and by the fact that “the causes of this situation have been brushed aside.” The presenter of the show actually interrupts him. Now is definitely not the time to tell such a truth.

But Karim Zéribi is stubborn. Despite several attempts at destabilization through interruptions, he does not lose the thread and pursues his idea, masterfully explaining that Israel, through its colonization policy for 56 years, has been solely responsible for everything that happens.
“This double standard, this outrage over variable geometry shocks me,” he claims.
The video of the show is widely shared on social networks and Karim Zéribi’s performance is praised by many Internet users.
“Respect to Karim Zéribi, 1 against 10 at TPMP”, “@KarimZeribi decides to tell the truth on TV, thank you champion”, “Unfortunately he will no longer appear in this media”, we read among other comments, on x.
Or the caption of this parody video on TikTok that shows Zéribi as Bruce Lee: “Karim Zéribi, the man who smashed TPMP. All against him, one man, this Karim. »
