Israel says it killed 9,000 Palestinian militants during 100 day war in Gaza

(EFE).- The Israeli army estimates that it has killed around 9,000 militants from Hamas and other Palestinian groups in the hundred days of war with Gaza militias, according to its own database.

Among those deaths, Israeli forces said they killed two Hamas brigade commanders and 19 battalion commanders, as well as more than 50 senior militants, as they continued their offensive since the war began on October 7 after a Hamas attack left 1,200 people dead in Israel.

According to the army, around 170 members of pro-Palestinian militias and members of the Lebanese Shiite group Hezbollah were also killed, while exchanges of fire on the Lebanese-Israeli border have continued almost since the war in Gaza broke out.

Since then, the militias have fired around 9,000 rockets from Gaza into Israeli territory, around 2,000 projectiles were fired from Lebanon towards Israel and around thirty were fired from Syrian territory.

On the other hand, as part of the Israeli ground offensive that began on October 27 and has so far killed 188 soldiers, the Israeli army attacked around 30,000 targets in Gaza, including around 3,400 that were discovered to be Hamas military posts. According to the army, around 750 targets of Hezbollah and other militias were also attacked in Lebanon.

On the other hand, the Israeli army attacked about 30,000 targets in Gaza, including about 3,400 that appeared to be Hamas military posts.

He also states that he interrogated about 2,300 Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, some of whom were arrested and taken to Israel.

On the other hand, the army assures that around 300,000 reservists have been drafted since the beginning of the war.

The Israeli offensive on Gaza has left nearly 24,000 dead – around 70% of them children and women – and created a landscape of widespread devastation and humanitarian crises, while the war is expected to continue into 2024 without an immediate end.

At least 7,000 people are estimated to be missing under the rubble of destroyed buildings, leaving Gaza's Hamas-controlled health ministry putting the death toll at over 30,000.

Israel intends to dismantle and eradicate Hamas from the Gaza Strip, and today its Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that his government is reviewing the 2024 budget to adapt it to the needs of the war and the associated increasing defense spending.
