The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced this Tuesday (28) that three soldiers reportedly taken hostage in the Gaza Strip died on October 7, the day the Islamic group Hamas attacked Israel.
The dead were identified as Shaked Dahan (19), Tomer Yaakov Achims (20) and Kiril Borsky (19).

The three were killed during the Hamas attack and their bodies were taken to Gaza.
During the Islamic group’s attack, more than 240 people were kidnapped in Israel and taken to the Gaza Strip, where about 170 hostages are still held. In the last four days, 51 Israelis and 18 foreigners were released under the agreement between Israel and Hamas that led to the temporary cessation of fighting in Palestinian territory.
The three dead soldiers were listed as “abducted by a terrorist organization” on a list of IDF members killed since October 7, updated this Tuesday by the organization and recording a total of 395 Israeli soldiers killed.
At least 70 of them died in the ground counteroffensive in Gaza on October 27.
The announcement of the deaths of the three soldiers came on the fifth day of a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, which came into force last Friday morning (24) and is expected to last until Wednesday (29), although negotiations are underway for a possible new extension.
