Poll in Israel: Prime Minister Netanyahu is under fire. According to an opinion poll by the Maariv newspaper, 80 percent of Israelis believe that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu must publicly accept responsibility for the shocking failures that led to the devastating Hamas attack on October 7.
The leaders of the IDF and Shin Bet have already assumed this responsibility, as have the defense minister and the finance minister. According to the poll, 80% of Israelis believe Netanyahu should follow suit, including 69% of those who voted for the prime minister’s Likud party in last year’s election. However, only 8% of public opinion believes that this should not be the case.
