Israeli attack on ambulance leaves 15 dead in Gaza

A bomb attack occurred outside AlShifa Hospital in North Rimal on Thursday evening (November 2).

A bomb attack outside AlShifa Hospital in Gaza’s North Rimal district killed 15 people and injured at least 50, including rescue team members. The attack was directed against an ambulance convoy last Thursday (November 2, 2023). The information comes from Wafa, the Palestinian news agency.

The ambulance convoy was intended for the Rafah border crossing so that the injured who could not be treated at AlShifa could leave the region and receive medical care in Egypt, according to an agreement reached with Israel and Hamas through Qatar.

Through its official account on X (formerly Twitter), the IDF (English acronym for Israel Defense Forces) confirmed responsibility for the attack on the convoy.

“A Hamas terrorist cell was identified with an ambulance. In response, an IDF aircraft struck and neutralized the Hamas terrorists operating in the ambulance. We emphasize that this area of the Gaza Strip is a war zone. Civilians are repeatedly urged to evacuate to the south for their own safety,” he wrote.
