Israeli forces killed more than 22,400 Palestinians in 2023

The Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PBCS) reported in a statement that 22,141 Palestinians have died in the occupied territories since October 7, the vast majority of them in the Gaza Strip.

In 2023, Israeli forces and settlers killed 22,404 Palestinians, the highest number since 1948.

According to PBCS, the number includes approximately 9,000 minors and 6,450 women.

In addition, the military and police murdered more than 100 journalists.

At the end of 2023, around 7,800 Palestinians are still in Israeli prisons, including 76 women and 260 minors.

The institution noted that more than 745,000 Jewish settlers live in the West Bank and occupied East Jerusalem.

The total number of Palestinians in the world exceeds 14.6 million, of which 5.5 million live in the West Bank or Gaza Strip.
