A total of 142 employees of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) have been killed since October 7 during the Israeli offensive against the Gaza Strip, the agency reported.

The United Nations agency said this figure represents the highest number of casualties among the world body's personnel in a conflict in its history.
On the other hand, he assured that what happened in Gaza was more dangerous than the Nakba of 1948, when, according to some sources, more than 700,000 Palestinians had to leave their homes due to the forced expropriation of their land by armed Israelis.

According to Unrwa, 1.4 million people displaced by the bombings and lacking water, food and other essentials are being accommodated in its facilities, with hundreds of thousands more in surrounding areas.
Meanwhile, “devastatingly, at least 319 people seeking refuge in Unrwa shelters have died and 1,135 have been injured as a result of direct strikes or collateral damage to facilities since the start of the war,” the organization denounced.
UNRWA also calls for increased efforts to provide humanitarian assistance to the Gaza Strip, noting that hundreds of thousands of Palestinians are starving.
After 93 days of Zionist aggression, from October 7 to date, 22,835 Palestinian civilians have been murdered and 58,416 injured, of whom about 7,000 are missing.
