The investigation revealed that the dead had surrendered and that the Israelis had placed a weapon near one of the bodies before releasing a photo
A digital investigation conducted by Al Jazeera and disclosed on Friday (October 13, 2023) it is said that the Israeli Defense Forces have changed the order of the images relating to the deaths of suspected Hamas members on Israeli territory.
On Tuesday (October 10th) the social media profile of the Israeli Defense Forces was published published a 48second video on X (formerly Twitter). It said the country’s military identified “four armed terrorists” on Zikim Beach that day. There was an “exchange of fire”. The 4 were then “eliminated”.
According to Al Jazeera, activists pointed out “discrepancies” and “inconsistencies” in the video. From there, the vehicle’s “digital investigative team” decided to analyze the case in detail based on the images.
Al Jazeera’s digital investigation came to this conclusion:
- Israeli soldiers conducted an operation in the Zikim beach area;
- the military found four Palestinians on the way;
- there is no sign that the four Palestinians were armed; They appear to have their arms raised and a Tshirt twirling in a possible sign of surrender.
- the four Palestinians sit there “as if they were obeying the orders of Israeli soldiers”;
- Moments later, two of the Palestinians lie “apparently injured”;
- the soldiers open fire from a distance of 4 meters, killing the 4 Palestinians;
- The photo released by Israeli forces shows that one of the bodies was dragged and placed next to a weapon.

The war between Israel and the extremist group Hamas ended a week this Saturday (October 14). At least 3,515 people have already died. Among the dead are three Brazilians: Ranani Glazer, Bruna Valeanu and Karla Stelzer.
They were all at the Universo Paralello music festival near the Gaza Strip.
