Israel's defense minister slams 'Hamas propaganda' in universities and reveals Israel has helped thwart HUNDREDS of terror attacks in the UK and Europe in 'recent years'.

Israel's defense minister has attacked “Hamas propaganda” spread across British universities as he declared that his country is “fighting on the front lines of the free world.”

Yoav Gallant also warned in a briefing to the Chron that aid money collected by pro-Palestinian activists was being funneled into global “terror networks.”

Mr. Gallant accused Hamas of “capitalizing” on the humanitarian crisis.

He said claims made against the terrorist group by citizens under its control should serve as a warning to the British public about the true nature of Hamas.

The defense minister warned: “Hamas propaganda influences universities and protests, and funds flow in, activating terrorist networks around the world.”

“This is a collision course between civilizations.” Hamas is a medieval phenomenon.

“If there is a fire in the first house, you have to prevent it from spreading through the village and reaching the church.” Israel is like the first house. “We are fighting on the front lines of the free world against terrorism.”

The briefing in Tel Aviv comes after the Mail on Sunday reported that Palestinians had accused Hamas of looting entire neighborhoods that had been evacuated since the war broke out.

On Friday, an elderly woman risked her life to tell an Al Jazeera reporter that Hamas was transporting its aid packages in tunnels, adding: “Everything goes to their homes.”

Another young Palestinian mother, holding her baby, told a journalist: “They are sending us humanitarian aid, but I swear to God we are not getting anything.” Hundreds of thousands of people have taken to the streets in Britain to protest to demand a ceasefire.

While most of the demonstrators were peaceful, some of the open demonstrations of anti-Semitism shocked viewers in Israel. For those in the UK who still support the evil regime in Gaza, Mr Gallant pointed out the revelations.

He said: “Hamas is using every means possible – including the sacrifice of hundreds of thousands of civilians.” They are taking advantage of the humanitarian situation and taking advantage of the civilian population. They have built hundreds of kilometers of tunnels under hospitals, schools, etc. They use hospitals and civilian infrastructure to protect the terrorist infrastructure.”

Mr. Gallant also believed that Hamas had “underestimated Israel’s retaliation.”

Israeli forces have already surrounded Gaza City in the north and there have been fierce street battles in which hundreds of terrorists have surrendered.

Meanwhile, a new offensive was launched in the south last week, striking hundreds of targets by land, air and sea.

Mr Gallant said: “It is hard to get democracies to fight wars, but once we are in a war we are much stronger because we fight to defend our values.”

“In the northern region of the Gaza Strip, Hamas is suffering massive losses and we are achieving our military objectives.” Hamas terrorists have two options: die or surrender.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called on Hamas terrorists to “surrender now.”

Speaking after his British counterpart Grant Shapps' visit to Israel, Mr Gallant said: “The level of understanding and cooperation between Israel and the UK in the military and intelligence fields is at a peak and will only continue to rise. “We share the same values and interests, particularly in the fight against terrorism.

Secretary Shapps' visit was historic – we haven't had a visit from a British Defense Secretary for 27 years. “We place great value on our relationship and defense cooperation.”

Mr. Gallant spoke as IDF troops in northern Israel exchanged fire again with Iran-backed Hezbollah forces in Lebanon. Six Israeli soldiers were injured yesterday after a drone strike on a base in the Galilee. There are fears that tensions in the region could escalate into a full-scale war in the Middle East. Mr Gallant warned Hezbollah in Lebanon to “ask themselves whether they want the same things to happen in Beirut” as in Gaza.

He added: “We don't want war, but if we find ourselves in a situation where we have to ensure our security here, we will not hesitate – just as we did not hesitate in the south.”

It came as Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said last night: “The war is still ongoing, but it is the beginning of the end for Hamas.” “I say to the Hamas terrorists: It is over.” He was referring to the Hamas Boss and said, “Don’t die for this.” [Yahya] Sinwar. Give up now. “In recent days, dozens of Hamas terrorists have surrendered.” Hamas denied his claims.
