From 1ah As of April 1, it costs Twitter users $84 a year to have a verified profile crowned with a blue tick.
According to CNN Business, the company announced this in a tweet at least on Thursday. A blue tick means that the user’s profile and identity have been verified by the platform.
“In order to keep your blue tick on Twitter, individuals can subscribe to Twitter Blue,” read the tweet shared on Thursday.
Users can pay $84 per year or $8 per month to get verified.

April fool?
But beware, some are already wondering if this is an April Fool’s joke, as the new policy should normally go into effect on April 1st.
