Black smoke ring in the sky in Thailand
A video is circulating on social media showing a ring of black smoke hovering in the sky over a neighborhood in Thailand’s Nakhon Pathom province. IT’S A FACT.
According to the Portal news agency, registration took place on October 27th (see above).
As the images show, local residents filmed the mysterious ring until it disappeared into the air.
According to Ajarn Jessada Denduangboriphan, a professor in the biology department at Chulalongkorn University, the phenomenon could also be observed in other countries and it was not, as speculated, a swarm of insects.
According to Portal, the researcher said he believes the ring was formed by the “explosion of a spherical structure,” with the smoke retaining its ring shape as it rose.
“It could have been caused by a transformer explosion. The source of the smoke clearly needs to be investigated. If the cause is a burning engine or fuel, the smoke will simply disappear into the air. However, it could be harmful if caused by burning certain products and chemicals.
Another black smoke ring caught people’s attention when it appeared in the sky over Sentosa in Singapore in August, according to Portal. A spokesman for Mount Faber Leisure Group said at the time the incident was triggered by testing flame generators for a lights and fireworks show.
