The character Johnny cage was introduced in “Mortal Kombat”. Inspired by actor JeanClaude Van Damme, he draws attention to himself with his inflated ego by being portrayed as a narcissistic actor in martial arts films, often serving as comic relief throughout the story.
Over time, he became one of the most popular in the game, being portrayed in the 1995 film by Linden Ashby and in the 1997 sequel by actor Chris Conrad.
His real name is Jonathan “John” Carlton. He decided to enter the tournament to prove himself as a good fighter. Digital artist Samuka Arts transformed the actor Ryan ReynoldsKnown for his work on Deadpool and The Adam Project, on the classic Mortal Kombat character.

The result was really cool and showed that Reynolds would be a great option to play the fighter in new sequels. It is worth remembering that a new version of the film was released in 2021, starring Lewis Tan, Hiroyuki Sanada and Ludi Lin, among others.
