It would be over for Jason Kelce

Legendary Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce has reportedly told his teammates that he is retiring from football.

According to the ESPN network, the 36-year-old made the announcement in the locker room Monday night following his team's 32-9 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the first round of the playoffs.

Jason Kelce could be seen crying on the sidelines after the setback that ended the Philadelphia club's 2023 season. Last year, the friendly bearded man considered giving up his shoulder pads. It was even the subject of a documentary about it. However, the veteran decided to take over again after a fantastic 2022 season in which he reached the Super Bowl against his brother Travis and the Kansas City Chiefs.

This year the two brothers also launched their podcast New Heights. It wouldn't be surprising if Jason confirmed his retirement on Wednesday during the airing of the next episode of this series.

Taylor Swift's brother-in-law has been one of the leaders of the Eagles for many years and has never worn another jersey in the NFL. He was drafted by the Eagles in the sixth round of the 2011 auction and became a key cog in their offensive line that year.

Since then, he has been selected to seven Pro Bowl games and named to the NFL first team six times. Jason Kelce also won the Super Bowl in 2017. Many consider it to be one of the best victory speeches in history during the parade following the Eagles' triumph.
