He disappeared from the radar on Saturday morning – now it’s a sad certainty: the helicopter of a private company with seven people on board crashed in southern Italy. As reported by “La Repubblica”, a 13-year-old child was among the victims.
Slovenian family and doctor likely among helicopter crash victims
On Saturday afternoon, rescue teams searched for the helicopter in the area of Apricena, near the town of Foggia, in Puglia, for which contact had previously been lost, as the fire department announced on Twitter. Around 2 pm, the sad news: the helicopter crashed, there are no survivors. It was found in Castelpagano di Apricena, in a rural area. According to the first findings, a Slovenian family, a doctor and two pilots were on board.
Tragic: The doctor was probably on his way home after his shift. Because of bad weather, he would have decided not to take the ship. Instead, he got into the helicopter, it is said.
