SPEAKING IN THE CITY: Embarrassing! Princess Eugenie and her father Andrew did not discuss her decision to create a new sex trafficking podcast.
She may have been perfectly happy to be seen in public with her controversial cousin Prince Harry in Los Angeles, but Princess Eugenie doesn’t seem willing to show that kind of open support for her own father.
A source told me that the princess is planning to spend the summer “doubling down” on her charitable commitments and will be increasingly visible in her role as founder of the Anti-Slavery Collective as she seeks to distance her reputation from what is left of slavery. Duke of York.
The princess, who has a one-year-old son with husband Jack Brooksbank, is gearing up to launch a podcast series in early summer with various guests talking about modern-day slavery, including sex trafficking.
Her father is clearly not going to be one of them – and a royal source confirms that there have been no conversations between father and daughter on the subject.
I also learned that Eugenie waited a whole month to see her father again after he had settled his business with Virginia Giuffre.

A source within the royal family confirms that there have been no conversations between Prince Andrew and his daughter about her new sex trafficking podcast.
She left for work in preparation for his settlement, working in Los Angeles and was out for at least another two weeks after it was announced that Andrew was to pay Giuffra £12 million.
And she added an extra vacation to her work trip instead of flying home to comfort him.
They finally reunited when she visited the family home, the Royal Lodge, last week.
But as long as she stayed away from her father, Eugenie was happy to be photographed with her cousin Harry not once but twice during her visit to Los Angeles for the Frieze Arts Festival.
Meanwhile, her sister Princess Beatrice was at the center of royal life at Windsor, spending time with the Queen at Frogmore House.
Harry and Eugenia wore masks to attend the Super Bowl in California in February when the Los Angeles Rams beat the Cincinnati Bengals 23–20.
A source says: “There were concerns about the rift between father and daughter and even between Princess Beatrice and Eugenie.
“There is a feeling that Beatrice is now closer to her father. But the party line is such that no distance between family members can last long – they are too close for that.
Perhaps there will be a rapprochement when Evgenia celebrates her 32nd birthday on Wednesday?
The Earl of Bradford launched a scathing attack on Groupon’s online marketplace for selling “decorative titles” to the public.
The 74-year-old Earl, who inherited his title after his father’s death in 1981, claims that clients may mistakenly believe they are buying a hereditary peerage.
But Groupon is less concerned, with a spokesperson saying: “It’s clear these headlines are purely decorative.
“What they won’t do is give you the same level of pretentiousness as someone who has the real thing.”
Ouch!
