Nestlé Canada will stop selling the famous Delissio frozen pizza and other frozen foods, but fortunately ice cream is not on the list of affected products.
Along with the pizza that many love, Stouffer’s, Lean Cuisine and Life Cuisine products will be off Canadian grocery store shelves within six months.
With this change, the company wants to focus on its other popular products like confectionery, coffee, ice cream, and bottled water instead.
“Nestlé Canada attributes much of its long-term success to its ability to adapt and evolve within the industry. This decision allows us to invest more in priority categories,” Nestlé Canada President and CEO John Carmichael said in a statement, adding that the company “commits to continuing to bring great products to Canadians. […] now and in the future”.
It should be noted that the globally established company does not have a factory for its frozen meals and pizzas in Canada.
The Company will work with its retail partners to facilitate the release of affected products.
