As everyone knows, the Palestinian group Hamas attacked southern Israel in the early hours of October 7, killing more than a thousand people.

In addition, the terrorists took 239 hostages, including women, children and the elderly, in the Gaza Strip, the territory they control.

Hamas leaders were sure of one thing: Israel would retaliate. And they usually do this at a ratio of one Israeli to ten Palestinians.

I assume… I assume, no, I’m almost certain that they thought the Islamic brothers would come to the aid of Hamas when the IDF (abbreviation for Israel Defense Forces) began its invasion of Gaza.

Let’s start with Iran, which has a deep hatred for Israelis.

The Ayatollahs’ country could help Hezbollah, a Lebanonbased terrorist group, with weapons, ammunition and even volunteers.

Maybe the Iranians would have even done that. However, Hezbollah, which is far more powerful than Hamas, took no major action against Israel other than a few small border skirmishes.

If they had attacked the Israelis, they would have been fighting a war on two fronts and would have had to move part of their forces to the border with Lebanon.

Hamas could not count on Egypt…
