Ivana Trump, the former American President’s first wife, is dead

As Donald Trump’s first wife, she jokingly said she was “First Lady” shortly after he was elected President of the United States. Ivana Trump, 73, died Thursday, ABC News reports, citing her family. She had shared her life with Donald Trump for fifteen years until 1992 and had three children with him (Donald Trump Junior, Ivanka Trump and Eric Trump).

“Ivana Trump was a survivor. She fled communism and embraced this country,” her family wrote in a statement. And to add: “Our mother was an incredible woman – a force in business, a world-class athlete, a radiant beauty, a mother and a caring friend. “She was a wonderful, beautiful and incredible woman who lived a wonderful and inspiring life,” Donald Trump replied in a post on his social network Truth Social.

Ivana Trump reportedly died of a heart attack at her apartment in Manhattan, New York, ABC said. The emergency services were called around 12:40 p.m. local time on Thursday. The death of the 73-year-old TV star would not be considered suspicious, the media also specify.
