And finally, the big day of the show celebrating the 50th birthday of our Queen Ivete Sangalo has arrived! The singer took the stage in her hometown of Juazeiro, Bahia to the tune of “Tá bachelor, mas não tá alone.”
The show, broadcast live by Globo, was moderated by Érico Brás. The second song was “Alegria” and moved the audience. WHAT ENERGY, MY PEOPLE!

The audience sang congratulations to Ivete, who was moved by the honor and said:
“The most common thing I did in Juazeiro, on the hot sidewalk, in the cold wind, was looking at the stars and asking, ‘Ivetinha in five years, in 20 years, where will you be?’ Yesterday I lay down and said: ‘Ivetinha, look where you’re from!’. I’m back where I belong, my dearest city. I am very thankful for this place and proud of the woman I have become. I am grateful to Juazeiro da Bahia, this country that made me a giant! Thank you Juazeiro! I have come to celebrate my 50th anniversary with you, to celebrate half a century of my existence. Thank you Juazeiro, I love you! Brought my joy and my carnival!”
It’s Ivete’s birthday, but we got the present!
