Ivete Sangalo wins the yearend special on : “It’s a big burden, but a good one

“It's a warmup.” This is how Ivete Sangalo defines the presentation that she will give on Wednesday evening (20) at the Maracanã in Rio de Janeiro. Finally, the event marks the first show of the “Ivete 3.0” tour, which celebrates the 30year career of the Bahian artist and will tour the country in 2024. However, the celebration does not end here: the show will also feature the first special yearend celebration on Globo, with live broadcast also on Multishow and Globoplay.

“Doing the Globo yearend special has enormous meaning, but it is a good thing,” Ivete said during a presentation of the project to the press in September. “We had one of the most beautiful parties there in Juazeiro (BA) to celebrate my 50th birthday and we will have this to celebrate these 30 years of career. With that show at Maracana, I didn’t even think we could do something like that,” commented the singer.

As director of Globo's variety and reality genre, Boninho is responsible for the broadcast of the “Special Ivete 30 years of career”, which will feature Ludmilla and Andreas Kisser from Sepultura. On the Globo platforms there will be a presentation by Taís Araújo, broadcast on Globoplay and Multishow from 10 p.m.; on TV Globo after “Terra e Paixão”.

“Ivete is a party. “Globo is very proud to have had her all these years,” he explained, emphasizing that the Bahian not only sings for the station, but has also hosted programs in the house and worked as an actress. Regarding the show at Maracana, the director says it will be a “gigantic task.” “The show is incredible, unlike anything you can imagine. So it's going to take a lot of work for us because it's designed to offer everything that Ivete offers. “It will be a coverage that requires a lot of technology to capture all of this,” emphasized Boninho.

Ivete, dubbed the Queen by fans, was asked if she would replace Roberto Carlos in Globo's yearend program. The answer was on the tip of our tongues. “You call me queen. And you have to be majestic to be queen. Majesty lies in respecting others as we want to be respected. No one takes the place of a king. The king is the king. I would never forgive myself for not watching the King's yearend special on Globo; “It’s part of our DNA, it’s deeply rooted in us,” he assured.

Memorial tour

The “Ivete 3.0” tour will tour the country in 2024. “There will only be 30 Ivete shows in Brazil,” warned the Bahian. According to the artist, it's about offering fans a unique experience with a mega structure, which is why her new brand is called “Reivetese”. “It’s not just any party, it’s the party,” she explained in the project’s promotional video. Therefore, the shows on the new tour will take place in stadiums and arenas. The locations are still being determined, but Ivete assured that the cities will be announced in 2024. “They are the icing on the cake (laughs). We will reveal the cities we will travel through, but for now it is a mystery because I love mysteries,” he joked.

“They will be central locations for us and allow my fans to come. “It will be good for everyone to bring the excellence of entertainment closer to what they do,” said the Bahian. “We will analyze how we can support this machine that makes this meeting possible,” he added. And what's more: “At the end of the 30 shows we will have a DVD. Because our DVD is legal, right? It will be a compilation of that meeting.”
