The Barclays Center in Brooklyn saw a surprise appearance by Jack Black during the final date of the Jonas Brothers' 2023 tour last Saturday evening. The tour, titled “Five Albums, One Night,” reached an unexpected moment when Black, dressed as the character Bowser, took the stage to perform “Peaches,” a theme from the soundtrack of the film “Super Mario Bros. The Movie.” “, which became a viral hit thanks to its catchy rhythm and Black’s exceptional vocal performance.
Jack Black, 54, took the stage in a green suit and a hat modeled after the hair of Bowser, the iconic Mario villain who performed the song in the film. Accompanied by a pianist dressed as Toad, Black showed his skills as a singer and performer, as he not only shocked the showgoers with his voice, but also made them laugh out loud with his dance steps and threw himself on the stage. The floor was completely exhausted when the song ended.

In this way, Black welcomed the brother trio for their final show of the tour, which took them virtually throughout the United States and a few cities in Canada and Mexico.
“Hey, I just want to say, ever since I was in the jungle of Jumanji, I've been a big fan. And I'm very proud to call them my friends,” the actor said before the Jonas Brothers' performance in front of almost 20,000 people.
As mentioned above, “Peaches” became a media phenomenon, so much so that it featured prominently on the Billboard Hot 100 chart earlier this year, peaking at #56. Bryan Tyler, lead composer for Super Mario Bros. The Movie. revealed last July that a large part of the piece's success was due to Black's ability to improvise, as the lyrics came to him while playing the piano.

“He's so good at (…) playing the piano and all that, he's able to make a riff and the less he thinks about it, the more fun it is.” The fact that he (that word “Peaches” repeated) is funny because it's almost as if Bowser can't think of lyrics. So he just repeats his name. It's stupid. And he's an incredible singer too. So, yeah, leave it to Jack,” he said.
The surprises at Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas' concert didn't end there. Fans were also treated to a performance by Ryan Tedder, who performed the song “Sucker” ahead of his final concert of the year in the US. The tour will resume in February, starting in New Zealand.

The Jonas Brothers, now all parents, shared their experiences of touring for the first time in this new phase of their lives in a recent interview. “It's just about being present in every moment,” Nick said of being a father on tour.
Regarding life on the road and its impact on her parenting role, Nick also noted, “I try my best to be there whenever I can, but it's different for everyone. And we've been doing this for a long time, making music and being on the road. So it’s like part of our DNA.”
