Jack Vidgen has revealed the heartbreaking reason he has retreated from the musical spotlight in recent years.
In a question and answer session with fans on Instagram, the Australia’s Got Talent winner said he was “traumatized” by the music industry and no longer felt comfortable singing on social media.
“I’m kind of traumatized by the industry and I’ve really lost my love for everything,” he confessed.
“It’s slowly coming back.” “I have some exciting gigs/shows booked for next year that I’m looking forward to working on.”
Jack added: “I’m looking forward to bringing glamor and performing together.”

The 26-year-old also said he was looking forward to passing on his musical expertise by moving into coaching.
Jack rose to fame after winning the fifth season of Australia’s Got Talent in 2011.
After staying out of the spotlight for a few years, he regained prominence as a contestant on The Voice in 2019.
He made it to the semifinals before being eliminated.

Vidgen has since released a number of singles, including the Eurovision track “I Am King, I Am Queen”.
In September, the singer opened up about his mental health struggles that led him to take a break from social media.
“I’ve been thinking a lot over the last five weeks about what’s important to me and I’m going through a little change in my life.” “I want to go back to my first love, singing,” Jack wrote.
“I will continue to share life here, I just needed some time away from social media to re-align with my values and the person I am.”
