Jack Whitehall left the talk show audience gasping as he slammed Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield amid their ongoing feud.
The 34-year-old comedian and his 83-year-old father Michael, with whom he has appeared on numerous shows, appeared on Friday’s The Chris and Rosie Ramsey Show.
Co-host Rosie told the pair, “You two seem like you have a wonderful relationship.”
Jack then replied, “Behind closed doors we’re like Holly and Phil.” “We don’t talk to each other.”
The joke caused a stir from the audience and Jack then said, ‘What?’ Light up.’
Taunts: Jack Whitehall left a talk show audience gasping when he poked at Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield in the midst of their ongoing feud
Feud: Jack said of his relationship with his father: “Behind closed doors we’re like Holly and Phil.” We don’t talk to each other.
Reaction: The joke caused a stir from the audience while Rosie looked playfully shocked
Rosie also looked playfully shocked at the taunt while Chris laughed.
The This Morning co-hosts are reported to be “not as close together as they used to be” and now hardly ever speak off-camera.
While the feud continues and there is no sign of the presenters stepping down, it has emerged that the rift may actually have started three years ago, when Holly began “quietly” distancing herself from her longtime friend.
It is also believed that Phillip was upset when Holly landed a job for Ant McPartlin to host I’m A Celebrity Gets Me Out Of Here! in 2018.
According to The Sun, Holly, 42, and Phillip, 61, plan to take a week off for half term before returning to the program on Monday 5 June.
The Chron has also exclusively revealed that Holly has now nominated Alison Hammond to replace Philip – ITV should agree.
The now-strained relationship between the two reportedly initially began through their celebrity talent management agencies.
The co-stars were once part of the same management – the YMU Group – before Holly parted ways to start her own agency, Roxy Management.

However, her relationship with her old management became strained as she became involved in a legal battle over her future earnings.
The case was settled out of court and Holly made a million pounds from it.
Phillip, on the other hand, has chosen to stay with them and is even a shareholder – sparking a series of splits between the two.
According to The Sun, he is set to make £1million and is a “big player” in the group.
A source told the newspaper: “Holly quietly began distancing herself from Phil in 2020. The legal troubles continued for 18 months, but Holly fought for what was right.”
“Ultimately Phil decided to stay and Holly left, it wasn’t easy at the time.”
Web has reached out to representatives for Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield for comment.
Holiday: Holly, 42, and Phillip, 61, are reportedly planning to take a week off for half term before returning to the program on Monday 5 June
Previously, in 2018, it was widely known that Phillip was “upset” after Holly was chosen to replace Ant McPartlin to co-host “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here” with Declan Donnelly.
While he continued to host “This Morning” without Holly, Phillip admitted he wishes he were also hosting the jungle show.
This only increased Holly’s success as a star away from her former best friend Phil.
She became the presenter of Take Off With Bradley & Holly on BBC1 and launched her own lifestyle brand, Wylde Moon, in 2021.
Profitable collaborations followed for the presenter, including with Marks and Spencer, which is believed to have netted her £950,000.
Phil has tried to start side projects of his own – such as the game show ‘The Cube’ on ITV – but they have always failed to get off the ground.
After the Queuegate scandal – which further highlighted the rift in their friendship – Phillip was banned from his contract with WeBuyAnyCar.
It was previously believed that the first signs of a falling out began in September when the couple were criticized for not being able to queue for the Queen’s state funeral.
Substitute: It’s now clear that Holly wants Phil to leave and wants Alison Hammond (pictured) to step in
Phillip is believed to be jealous of his co-star as he was the bigger name when they first worked together in 2009.
Holly has since severed all ties with Phil apart from her This Morning commitments.
Phillip’s pedophile brother Timothy has been sentenced to 12 years in prison after being convicted of a series of child sex offenses, including abusing teenagers.
Meanwhile, leading bookmakers revealed the likelihood of both Holly and Phillip being replaced on This Morning.
Irish bookmaker Paddy Power revealed the odds of Phillip’s elimination this morning, putting him at 2/1 while putting his co-host Holly at 4/1.
Meanwhile, William Hill had a 4/1 chance that Holly could leave This Morning before June and a 6/1 chance that she could take a new job at Loose Women.
She has a 10/1 chance of hosting “Strictly Come Dancing” and the bookmaker also gave a 20/1 chance to host “I’m A Celebrity”.
William Hill spokesman Lee Phelps said: “There seems to be a lot of evidence that Holly Willoughby’s time on This Morning may be coming to an end and we are offering 4/1 that she vacates her role by the end of the month.”
“Holly is sure to be hot when she leaves and we believe plays like Love Island and Loose Women (both 6/1) and Strictly (10/1) will be on the agenda.”
