Jackie “O” Henderson reveals the only American habit that made her angry — until she tried it herself
Jackie “O” Henderson has spent a lot of time in the United States and recently brought her daughter, Kitty, to New York City.
But while she loves the country, there’s one thing about the way Americans speak that infuriates her.
Speaking on Tuesday’s KIIS FM’s Kyle & Jackie O Show, the radio host said she found it rude when people said “mmhmm.”
“It’s a very American thing,” she said.
“If I go to America and I ask the barista, ‘Can I get a two-sugar latte?’ and they go, ‘mmhmm.’

“I always think ‘Rude bitch’.” Why don’t you say ‘Thanks, don’t worry.’
However, Kyle spoke up for the baristas, saying they shouldn’t have to say “OMG thank you so much” nine thousand times a day.
While Jackie said she thought that was rude, she said she actually started it herself.
“I eventually made it,” she said.
“And, my God, is it good! Because it’s a reaction to so many different things.’

To test it out, Kyle then told Jackie her breath was stinky, and she replied, “mmhmm.”
However, she couldn’t keep a straight face and started laughing.
“Wow, you don’t seem so sure about that,” Kyle said.
Jackie said she didn’t dare to say it because she didn’t like it when he joked that her breath smelled bad.
