The filmmaker, the daughter of Francis Ford Coppola, best known for his work on The Godfather film series, has a knack for presenting intimate portraits of women who lead complicated lives behind closed doors.
With Priscilla, Coppola has followed that mantra once again, considering Priscilla went from military kid to lover of one of the world’s biggest stars as a teenager.
Elvis met Priscilla at a party in Germany while he was stationed there by the US Army, when he was 24 and she was only 14.
Their marriage was rocked by infidelity and drug abuse before it finally collapsed in 1972, five years before his death.
The film’s stars also made their way to the SiriusXM Town Hall, hosted by Andy Cohen at the SiriusXM Studios in New York City.
