The police operation, the second of its kind in the Longueuil region in less than 24 hours, began at around 11:50 a.m. at the school on Rue Gentilly.
All students and staff at the school were told to confine themselves to their respective rooms because there may be “individuals who could pose a threat in the vicinity of the school.”
However, police were quickly able to track down the person who allegedly made the call that started the entire commotion.

She could be accused of public infidelity.
This was the second time in less than 24 hours that a barricaded confinement occurred at a school in Longueuil.
On Monday, around 2,600 students and staff at the André-Laurendeau secondary school in the Saint-Hubert sector were locked in their premises for around two hours.
A call to police indicated there were armed people at the school.
In the end, the police concluded that it was a “bad joke” and launched an investigation to find the originator of this phone call.
