It took Jake Paul just over two minutes to obliterate Andre August with a brutal right uppercut as he cruised to victory in Orlando on Friday night.
Four months since UFC legend Nate Diaz won, Paul Nate Diaz was back in the boxing ring looking for his second straight win since losing to bitter rival Tommy Fury earlier this year.
August, who first turned pro in 2013, represented only the second legitimate boxer the online superstar has faced in his four-year fighting career – and the first since Fury.
But in the end, the professional's extensive schooling counted for very little.
With just 40 seconds left in the first round, Paul unleashed a vicious right uppercut that sent August flat on his back to the canvas.

The 10-1-1 fighter was clearly unable to continue despite trying to beat the count
Paul has now recorded two consecutive wins since suffering the first defeat of his career
Despite his best efforts to outdo the count, the 35-year-old was clearly unable to continue as he struggled to get back to his feet, meaning the referee waved off the contest to award Paul's eighth professional to seal victory.
The YouTuber-turned boxer is now starting to chart his next move in the sport, with a potential shot at redemption against Fury likely on his wish list.
For now, however, Paul is content with another highlight-reel knockout that he believes was his best yet.
“I think this is for the best,” he said at the post-fight press conference. “Just because it was the first round, I called it the whole week.
“I won't even get hit in battle and just prepare him for it. He kept ducking and I said, “OK, I'll throw the uppercut, but I have to make sure he keeps ducking low.”
“I assessed him, set him up for it and finished – threw that thing hard.”
Paul recorded six straight wins after turning into boxing as an internet sensation on the back of his fame, although all six came against former MMA fighters, an ex-basketball player and a fellow YouTuber.

The Problem Child will now likely be targeting a potential rematch with bitter rival Tommy Fury
He suffered defeat in his first clash with a true boxer, when the younger brother of world heavyweight champion Tyson beat Tyson on points in Saudi Arabia in February.
Since that sobering night in the Middle East, Paul has now gotten back on track with two wins against Diaz and now August.
“Right now I'm focused on being the best in the world and creating one of the greatest sports stories in the history of sports: being able to become a Disney Channel World Champion,” he said. “Now I'm into lasers.”
